A thousand people are missing in the fire in America, rescue operation continues

114 people have lost their lives so far because of the wildfires in the Maui island of the US state of Hawaii. So far, the rescue team has monitored more than 60 percent of the stations in the fire-affected area.

Hawaii Governor Jose Grinley said the death toll from the fires could rise. He said that all the affected areas could not be monitored yet and the rescue work was going on. He said that it is difficult to describe the situation there because of the fire and it is estimated that property worth 600 crores has been destroyed. He said that 2200 buildings were destroyed and more than 500 other buildings were damaged.

Much of the historic city of Lahaina, the capital of the state of Hawaii, was destroyed by the fire. 13 thousand residents used to live there. He said that since at least one thousand more people are missing, more rescue teams have been deployed. US President Joe Biden is scheduled to meet with rescued families in Maui on Monday.
