 Kathmandu: The number of police vehicles at the Metropolitan Police Complex, Teku, had increased from 1:30 pm onwards.  From each police van, 10 to 20 handcuffed youths were descending on the premises.  They were then lined up in the courtyard near the detention cell.


 The handcuffed youths in more than 10 vehicles became one.  It seemed that they were preparing for the parade.  However, they were not the police but people caught in the act of pickpocketing and theft.

Most of the arrested accused were in the same age group - 20 to 30 years.  The number of women was also in the crowd.  He was caught by the police while stealing and pickpocketing in different places from September 10 to September 30.


 During this period, 207 people have been arrested by the police.  Chief of the premises, SSP Ashok Singh, said that 46 of them were investigated and handed over to the court through the public prosecutor and sent to jail as per the court order.


 The remaining 161 people were raised this afternoon.  Police arrested them from 14 different circles in Kathmandu and brought them to the same place on Monday.  Police had made them public by holding a press conference.


 That's why they were looking for a way to hide their faces for fear of being caught on camera.  Everyone had a mask on their face due to the corona infection, which reduced their familiar anxiety.

According to the people's pickpocketing style, pickpockets enter the bus in groups of six at the rate of two / two and surround the passengers from the front and back.  His style of taking cash, mobiles, gold and silver out of his pocket, bag, bag by taking the same opportunity while pushing.


 They have been found to be targeting crowded places.  They even have their own code word.  According to SSP Singh, they also use the words 'money', 'mobile', 'ear', 'pickpocket', 'car', 'falling from the car' and 'dripping'.
