Kathmandu: Singer Durgesh Thapa had brought a fast song 'Bicha bicha ma 4-Khyassa Putali' only a year ago. As soon as the song with its own music, words and voice became public, Durgesh was again dragged into the controversy.
The words used in her song were accused of insulting Teej Parva and women. The National Folk and Double Song Foundation objected to the content and lyrics of the song.
However, Durgesh alleges that the foundation has not been able to treat all the singers equally and is trying to push them. Durgesh has been criticized for using the word 'khass' in the song as an attempt to insult women. However, Durgesh claims that he used the word prevalent in the village.
'Khass was used in the village to mean that you are doing a bad job. I can't dance in the current Teej, I can't sing, I'm trying to say khyassa vho. It doesn't seem to mean anything bad. I don't know how to understand them, 'he said.
Durgesh says that he released the poster of the song two months before the release of the song. He says, 'I had already made the poster of this song public on social media. At that time, no one raised any objection. You only cut the letter when there were two / three days left for the release of the song. I felt like I was trying to push it. '
Durgesh's songs sometimes get into controversy. From 'Happy Tihar Happy Tihar Chiso Beer' to 'Bitch Bitchma 4', the songs have been in some controversy.
Comedian Manoj Gajurel has satirized Durgesh on Gajurel.com for his fast song 'Khayas Putali'. He wrote, "Is there a controversy in the song or did you sing the song to get into controversy?"
However, Durgesh says that he did not come to read and write music and only released the song 'Khass Putali' to entertain the youth.
'My younger generation has a different kind of audience. I bring him funny songs to entertain him. My songs are like Nachum Nachum. My song pattern is different ', he said,' Even though I have learned to model, I don't have much music knowledge. '
He says that although the words of many other songs are bad and give two meanings, the foundation does not mean anything.
'They are free to sing. But why the controversy when I brought only the song? ' He asked.
Durgesh said that he has planned to release 10 series of 'Beach Beach'. He said that he will answer about the current controversy in 'Beach Beachma 5'. He says that the audience needs to understand that he has brought a song using original words.
He said that the lyrics of the song will not be changed as demanded.
