Kathmandu. Leader of Mahanta Thakur's party Rajendra Mahato, who has lost the authority of the Janata Samajwadi Party, has warned to fight for the establishment of a 'plural national state'.

Speaking at a gathering of his party's Bagmati cadres in Kathmandu on Saturday, Mahato called on party leaders and cadres in the hills and mountains to be ready for it.

"We are fighting for the establishment of a multi-national state. The only thing left in this country is to establish a plural national state. That is why our party was born. Terai and Madhes are ready for that. The people of the hills and mountains also had to be ready, ”he said.

After becoming the Deputy Prime Minister in the KP Sharma Oli-led government, Mahato's statement that a multi-national state would be established was criticized as unconstitutional and he apologized.

Speaking on the occasion, Leader Mahanta Thakur warned that if the leaders and cadres who were imprisoned during the Madhes movement, including MP Resham Chaudhary, were not released immediately, they would be forced to go into agitation against the government. He also urged the government to make the report of the Red Commission public immediately.

Another leader, Sharad Singh Bhandari, remarked that the current government was not serious about addressing their demands. He also said that the government, which has not been able to complete the cabinet, did not expect to address their demands.

Leader Bhandari also made it clear that he was demanding the state to release his party leaders and cadres from the pain of the Madhes movement. He also urged the government to withdraw the case filed during the Madhes movement and immediately release the leaders and activists living in captivity.
