UCPN (M) prepares to conclude the Central Committee meeting today


Kathmandu. The CPN (Maoist Center) is preparing to conclude the ongoing meeting of the Central Committee on Sunday. Spokesperson Narayan Kaji Shrestha informed that the central members have their own views on the political report and legislative amendment proposal submitted by party president Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' on Saturday.

The central members were divided into eight different groups to discuss the two proposals. The team leaders are Ram Karki from Province No. 1, Ram Chandra Jha from Province No. 2, Narayan Dahal from Bagmati Province, Hitraj Pandey from Gandaki Province, Ansari Gharti from Lumbini Province, Maya Prasad Sharma from Karnali Province, Nep Bahadur Chaudhary from Far Western Province and Yuvraj Chaulagain from Sampark Pradesh, Special Province, and Prabas. Group reporting has been done on two proposals of Chairman Dahal.

In group reporting, they called for the adoption of a direct executive presidential system and the adoption of a fully proportional electoral system. It was also emphasized that the party should have a clear idea about the US aid project MCC.

Similarly, they have demanded to form a mechanism to run the government and declare those who were martyred during the people's war as national martyrs. Similarly, the central members have also suggested making the district committee of the party a coordination committee and the provincial committee executive.

According to Spokesperson Shrestha, a meeting of the Standing Committee has been held to prepare to respond to the suggestions made by the team leader. Chairman Dahal will answer the queries raised by the central members. After that, the meeting is scheduled to end on Sunday.
