Kathmandu: The government has approved the new salary increase in the current fiscal year with effect from July 20. The decision was taken at a cabinet meeting held at the Prime Minister's official residence in Baluwatar on Monday, said Gyanendra Bahadur Karki, Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs.
The meeting also approved new salaries for civil servants of all levels, Nepal Army, Nepal Police, Armed Police Force Nepal, Health Service, Parliament Service, teachers working in community schools, and state and local level employees. KP Sharma Oli had increased the salaries of the employees in the budget brought through the ordinance. Stating that the Corona epidemic has not increased much, the government has increased the salaries of government employees by Rs 2,000 per month. Announcing the budget, Finance Minister Bishnu Poudel had also announced to provide round-the-clock work to the employees. Government employees will get 10 days' leave per year for traveling.
Similarly, the meeting has decided to promote Govinda Prasad Sharma, Joint Secretary of the Gazetted First Class, to the post of Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development as per the recommendation of the Promotion Committee.
The cabinet meeting decided to send the Hello Government Grievance Management Directive 2078 to the Administration Committee of the Council of Ministers for discussion, Special Economic Zone (First Amendment) Rules 2078, to the Finance and Infrastructure Committee of the Council of Ministers for discussion and Military Service (Fourth Amendment) Rules 2078 to the Cabinet Bill Committee. He explained.
The government has decided to appoint Kamal Bahadur Bogati, Assistant Administrative Officer of the Upper Trishuli Three A Hydropower Project, to acquire land and take preliminary action.
