Kathmandu. A helicopter carrying 16 people has crashed in a lake in Russia's the Far East.
According to international media reports, nine people have been rescued alive so far. There were 13 tourists and three crew members in the helicopter. The helicopter crashed in Kuril Lake in Kamchatka province.
The Mi-8 helicopter was carrying tourists from Moscow and St. Petersburg. Kamchatka Province, more than 6,000 kilometers from Moscow, is a very popular tourist destination.
