Prime Minister Deuba's directive to appoint Kulman Ghising as executive director of Nepal Electricity Authority


Kathmandu: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has directed Kulman Ghising to take forward the process of appointment of Executive Director of Nepal Electricity Authority.

According to the Prime Minister's Secretariat, Prime Minister Deuba has instructed Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation Pampha Bhusal to expedite the process of appointing Ghising to the post of NEA Executive Director. Hitendra Dev Shakya is currently the executive director of NEA.

On Tuesday, Energy Minister Bhusal met Prime Minister Deuba and briefed him saying that Shakya's performance was not satisfactory. Deuba then forced Shakya to resign and instructed Ghising to start the appointment process.
