Nepal Telecom's 'FTTH' subscribers 2.5 million

Kathmandu, July 12 The customers of Nepal Telecom's Five to the Home (FTTH) service have reached 2.5 million.

Nepal Telecom has distributed FTTH (Five to the Home) service, which can provide telephone, internet, and television services from a single fiber to more than 1,72,000 customers in 54 districts of the country as of July 12, 2013.

In 2075 BS, this service was made available to only 1738 customers out of which 30,879 customers were made available in 2076 BS and 1,07,701 customers were made available in 2077 BS.

Similarly, the company has stated that 64,299 new lines have been distributed in the last four months till 2078 BS.

Telecom has been providing only voice and data services under FTTH service and has also been providing IP TV service under the NT TV brand since December 3, 2010.
