Lumbini state assembly meeting adjourned for an hour, UML MP absent

The meeting of Lumbini Provincial Assembly has been adjourned for one hour. The meeting was adjourned after the Chief Minister responded to a special session convened to discuss the no-confidence motion against Chief Minister Shankar Pokharel.

The Chief Minister has already resigned before the state chief. The ruling CPN-UML has not attended the state assembly meeting. Opposition parties had filed a no-confidence motion against Pokhrel, nominating Maoist Center MP Kul Prasad KC as the new chief minister.
