The Udaipur road section under Dumre-Besishahar road has been blocked due to continuous rains. The road has been blocked due to continuous rain since Thursday afternoon.
The road has been blocked due to a landslide in Deuralidanda of Besishahar Municipality-1, Udaipur. A team comprising Chief District Officer Hom Prasad Luintel, Lamjung Police Chief DSP Krishna Bahadur Karki, and others are taking initiative to open the road after observing the landslide area.
According to DSP Karki, vehicles other than ambulances and motorcycles have been stopped at Besishahar from Besishahar and Dumre from Dumre. Chief Division Engineer of Dumre-Besishahar-Chame Road Project Amit Kumar Shrestha said that the blocked road will be opened by Friday evening by opening a new track.
A landslide has also occurred on the Kharkhare hill of Besishahar Municipality-6 Chandisthan under Besishahar-Chame road due to the landslide. The Lamjung road has been blocked since Thursday night due to the landslide.
