Kathmandu. The Indian company Konkan Railway Corporation Limited has indicated that it will withdraw from the agreement due to a delay in implementation of the agreement reached by the government for the operation of Kartha Jayanagar Railway.

In a letter sent to the government body including the general manager of Nepal Railway Company on Wednesday, it has also indicated that his company will withdraw from the agreement due to such delay. Five months ago, on May 21, 2021, an agreement was reached between the Railway Company and the Indian Railway Company to operate a train at Jayanagar Kurtha.

According to the agreement, Nepal will provide Rs. 350 million annually and 26 of the required manpower will be borne by the company. However, the company has indicated that it will not be able to proceed with the agreement as it has not paid 20 percent of the amount due in advance even after a long time.

The Indian Railways has said that even the experts brought to Nepal cannot be kept without a role for a long time. The company had proposed to conduct a demo operation of the train on January 19. Nepal Company had proposed for commercial maintenance.
