Manang. There is a problem in the flow of health services in Manang due to a power outage. This has affected the service recipients.

The service recipients have been in crisis when the power supply was disrupted due to floods and landslides on July 20. The people of Manang have complained that there is a problem in the flow of health services as solar energy cannot be connected in time for the operation of basic health services.

Public Health Inspector at the District Hospital, Rahmat Ansari, said that health services were directly affected due to the power outage in Manang. "We are running generators when there is no electricity supply. It is difficult to supply fuel for the operation of generators. There is no other option but to bring fuel except helicopters," he said.

According to Ansari, the hospital is not connected to solar energy. If solar energy could be connected, the service could be provided by using solar energy as there was a shortage of oil in the generator.

"Even if solar energy comes, it is not connected. We have been providing services by running generators. Oil is running out. There is no road to bring the oil. It has to be brought by helicopter," he said. The health service provided by the hospital is in a state of disruption.

Public Health Inspector Ansari said that the Gandaki State Health Ministry has been informed to bring more oil to operate the generator. "We have already been informed that there is a shortage of oil. We expect it to come soon ', he said,' Solar energy brought to Manang from the Ministry of Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation has not been connected yet. '

The office of Health Office, Drinking Water, Water Resources and Irrigation Development Subdivision, Infrastructure Development Office, Veterinary Hospital and Veterinary Service Expert Center, and Chame Village Office have not been connected to solar energy so far. Chief District Officer Bishnu Lamichhane said that the delay was due to a lack of expert technicians.

'Content has arrived. But, it has become difficult to connect in time. Despite the arrival of materials, solar energy could not be connected due to lack of expert technicians, ”he said.“ We have informed the Ministry of Energy, Water Resources, and Irrigation of Gandaki Pradesh in this regard. ”

The ministry has brought 16 solar energy connections in a short time after the floods and landslides. However, the five solar panels brought in recently have not been connected. The daily life of the people of Manang is in darkness due to the lack of electricity supply.
