Three thousand 180 houses have been inundated due to floods during this monsoon season. According to the Police Headquarters, 153 cowsheds, 60 bridges, 8 schools and 14 government offices including 900 houses have been damaged due to the landslide. A total of 1,087 animals have died since June 12.
According to Police Spokesperson Senior Superintendent of Police Basanta Kunwar, 5,924 people from 1,209 households have been displaced due to 1,130 disasters during the period. As many as 91 people have died in floods and landslides in different parts of the country due to incessant rains in Nepal since the onset of the monsoon, according to police. The deceased has been identified as 46 men, 23 women, 10 boys, and 12 girls.
A total of 116 people were injured in the floods and landslides during the period. Forty-four people have gone missing in the floods. The search for the missing continues. According to the Police Headquarters, 1,275 people have been rescued from various places.
