Estrogen vaccine from Japan will be brought to Kathmandu on Saturday and Sunday


KATHMANDU: Out of the 1.6 million doses of estrogen vaccine provided by the Japanese government to the Government of Nepal, 800,000 doses of the vaccine will be brought to Kathmandu on Saturday and Sunday.

The Japanese embassy in Kathmandu has stated that the vaccines will be transported from Japan today and tomorrow. Chief of Vaccination Branch Jhalak Sharma Gautam informed Ujyalo that 800,000 doses of vaccine will be given in two days.

The government is preparing to give the first dose of Covisild made in India to the senior citizens who are waiting for the second dose.

Nearly 1.4 million senior citizens over the age of 65 who have received the first dose of Covisild are awaiting the second dose.
