KATHMANDU: Pakistan's Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that Afghanistan has succeeded in breaking the shackles of slavery.

What will happen to the Taliban insurgency in Afghanistan? Khan's statement has been made public amidst interest.

"Afghanistan has broken the shackles of slavery, but the shackles of slavery in the world have not been broken," he said at an event in Islamabad. Well-known author Taslima Nasreen has criticized his statement.

"Prime Minister Imran Khan loves and supports the Taliban," he said. "The Taliban have broken the shackles of slavery in Afghanistan," he said. What if Imran Khan had two daughters instead of two sons and they lived in Afghanistan instead of the UK? '

Born in Bangladesh, Taslima Nasreen has been writing in the field of literature. He is now living in exile. Commentary on current issues has made waves.

His comments have often been controversial. Pakistan has not commented on his latest remarks. Western nations have accused Pakistan of patronizing insurgents.
