Chance of heavy rain with lightning in most parts of the country

Light to moderate rain is expected in most parts of the country this afternoon.

According to the Water and Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of heavy rain with thunder and lightning in one or two places in Province No. 1, Bagmati Province, Gandaki Province, Lumbini Province, and Karnali Province.

As the current monsoon low-pressure line is close to the Terai region of Nepal, its impact will be more in the Terai region, said the branch.

There is a possibility of heavy rain with thunder/lightning in a few places in Province No. 1, Province No. 2, Bagmati Province, and one or two places in Gandaki Province, Lumbini Province, and Far Western Province.

The Water and Meteorological Department has requested to take necessary precautions as the water level in rivers and streams may rise due to the risk of soil erosion, landslides and drift in hilly areas.
