A grenade attack in Pakistan's port city of Karachi on Saturday killed at least 13 people and injured dozens more. The bomber struck shortly after 9:30 p.m. in the Mawach Goth area of Baldia Town.
Preliminary investigations using the remains found at the site of the blast have led local police to say a grenade was used in the attack.
"We cannot say who was behind the attack. The nature of the incident looks like a family dispute and further investigation is underway, 'said a local police official.
Additional Inspector General of Police Imran Yakob said, "It could be a terrorist attack. We do not have any concrete evidence yet and the investigation is ongoing, so it will be quick to reach a conclusion.
A senior official in the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD), King Omar Khattab, said a preliminary investigation showed the grenade attack. He said the grenade exploded before hitting any part of the vehicle.
Preliminary investigations show that the attackers came on a motorcycle. More can be said only after research.
Additional Sentinel Dr. Karar Abbasi The bodies of 10 people have been brought to Ruth Fau Civil Hospital. According to him, six of the victims were women and four were children.
