CPN (Unified Socialist) leader Madhav Kumar Nepal, who is in the process of registration, reached Chandragiri Hills Resort in Chandragiri on Monday evening.
The Election Commission (EC) on Wednesday called for the registration of a new party led by Nepal. Two days ago, the Nepali leader arrived at the Chandragiri resort with an MP and a central member close to him.
Leader Nepal will stay at the resort today. A source has informed us that rooms have been booked for about 100 people at the resort today.
According to sources close to the leader, the central members who have supported the registration of the new party have reached Chandragiri for a meeting of the lawmakers. Sources said that they will stay in Chandragiri till Wednesday morning.
Earlier, UML leaders who did not accompany Madhav Nepal had a long discussion with Chairman KP Sharma Oli at his residence in Balkot today. UML secretary Yogesh Bhattarai, who participated in the discussion, said that Oli had agreed to implement the 10 points and a meeting of the standing committee would be held tomorrow morning. Bhattarai had said that they would now meet Madhav Nepal and return the registration process of the new party.
After the leaders including Nepal went to Chandragiri, now they have to go to Chandragiri to meet him.
Earlier, Bhim Rawal, Ashtalakshmi Shakya, Yuvraj Gyawali, Ghanshyam Bhusal, Gokarna Bisht, Yogesh Bhattarai, Surendra Pandey, Bhim Acharya and Raghuji Pant, who were on the side of Nepal, are now in favor of party unity.
