Kathmandu: The estrogen vaccine provided by Japan through the Covax facility has arrived in Nepal.
Japan had provided 1.6 million doses of estrogen vaccine to Nepal through the Covax facility.
Today, in the last phase, at 9:45 am, 559,360 doses of vaccine arrived in Nepal.
Out of 1.6 million doses of estrogen vaccine, 2 lakh 8 thousand 700 doses have been delivered to Nepal on September 20 and 900,000 doses have been received in July last year.
According to the management department, out of 1.6 million vaccines, 900,000 vaccines were given to the citizens above 65 years of age who received the first dose of covsild in Chait.
The current vaccine will be given to the citizens who have received the first dose of Covisilde in Provinces 1 and 2. Dr. Jhalak Sharma, Chief of Child Health and Vaccination Branch, informed that the vaccine will be given as the second dose of Covisild in Provinces 1 and 2.
Earlier, vaccines of Covisild 24.48 million Covisild, 7.4 million doses of Verosel, 1.6 million doses of Johnson & Johnson and 1.357 million doses of estrogen have arrived in Nepal.
