Kathmandu: The Election Commission is settling the official dispute within the party on Monday. For this, all the 51 central executive members of JSP have been present in the commission.
Of them, 34 signed in favor of Upendra Yadav and 16 in favor of Mahanta Thakur.
The commission had earlier called the members of the Jaspa Central Executive Committee for identification. The commission has a list of 51 central executive members of the party.
On Monday afternoon, they all reached the commission for identification. JSP central executive member Resham Chaudhary, who is in jail, has also reached the commission for signature. According to the leaders of the Upendra group, Chaudhary is also signing for the Yadav group.
Along with this, the dispute of Jaspa has now been resolved. Chairman Yadav has responded that Mahanta Thakur can be included in the party if he comes with self-criticism.
However, Thakur was against the commission's identification process. He had even filed a writ petition in the court against the decision. With this decision of the commission, the Upendra Yadav group has got the authority of Jaspa. Two-thirds of the central executive members are in his favor.
