Kathmandu: Nepal has started preparations for the Group F qualifiers of the AFC Women's Asian Cup Qualifiers. Players are advancing to practice at the ANFA Complex in Satdobato. Although head coach Gary Phillips is not currently in Nepal, the training has been carried out under his guidelines. Philips is expected to visit Nepal in October.
Nepal will play the Philippines and Hong Kong at home in the qualifiers. Nepal is in Group F of the AFC Women's Asian Cup Qualifiers. In the qualifiers, Nepal will play the Philippines and Hong Kong at home. For the tournament to be held in India in 2022, 28 teams have been divided into four groups with four teams and four groups with three teams.
Nepal is the organizer of group 'F'. Nepal is in the group of Philippines and Hong Kong. On the women's side, Nepal is ranked 101st in the FIFA rankings, while the Philippines is ranked 68th and Hong Kong 76th. The qualifiers will be played from September 13 to 25.
