Kathmandu. Police have launched an investigation after the news of Vijay Shahi's death became public. In the process, he was found in Kalikot.
According to Kathmandu Police Chief SSP Ashok Singh, the content on Facebook about Shahi has been revealed to be false. He told online news, "Police are also investigating the post on Facebook."
Kalikot Police Chief DSP Chakra Bahadur Shah told online news that he was resting at his house in Shahi Mahawai village municipality. "and he is OK.
Police have also started searching for the reason behind the posting of the material saying that the people close to Shahi died.
He used to claim to be the 'Memory King' to bring himself into the limelight. But as soon as it became public that he was a liar, Shahi fled from Kathmandu. Despite allegations of fraud against him, no formal complaint has been lodged with the police.
