Butwal.

Welcoming the decision of the Supreme Court, lamps have been lit in Butwal.

The Supreme Court on Monday issued an order in the name of the President's Office to reinstate the House of Representatives dissolved by Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and appoint Sher Bahadur Deuba as the Prime Minister.

Welcoming the Supreme Court's move, leaders/activists of the Opposition Coalition lit lamps in Butwal.

Nepali Congress, Maoist Center, UML (Madhav Nepal faction), Janata Samajbadi Party, Rashtriya Janamorcha, and RPP leaders gathered at the traffic intersection of Butwal and welcomed the decision of the Supreme Court.

Speaking on the occasion, Kul Prasad KC, central member of the UCPN-M and member of the Lumbini state assembly, said, "Even though the head of regression has been torn off, there is still a long way to go." He said that KP Oli will be promoted now as it has become clear how deadly the KP trend is.

On the occasion, Nepali Congress Lumbini State Assemblymember Dilli Chaudhary said that the constitution and democracy were saved by the Supreme Court and defeated 'Oli's tyranny. Jaspa Lumbini state chief secretary Yagya Pokhrel said that KP Oli's regression had been defeated by the apex court and that it was now to some extent a 'defense of the constitution.

He also urged Oli to "vacate the chair" and the president to vacate the chair as per the Supreme Court decision.

RPP Rupendehi District Secretary Tan Bahadur GC said that even though KP Oli's regression was over, there was still a challenge and all parties should stand together.
