"We are not in the Maoists, we are not in the UML. Where should we go?"

Kathmandu: Four ex-Maoist leaders who joined the CPN-UML have filed a writ petition in the Supreme Court seeking reinstatement of their parliamentary seats.

Leader Top Bahadur Rayamajhi has complained that they have been treated unfairly as the UCPN (M) has left the party even though they have not announced that they have left the party. "The UCPN (M) has removed it. The Supreme Court has not recognized the organizing committee of the 10th general convention of the CPN-UML. There is no evidence in the Election Commission that we are the CPN-UML. We are now in a state of injustice without any party.

He said that both the UCPN (M) and UML had treated them unfairly. "We have fought so many wars and played a big role in the transformation of the country. Now we are trying to make it here and there. This situation must end," he said.

Are you going to join the Maoists now? Asked by Ujjalo Online, Leader Top Bahadur Rayamajhi said, "We are Maoists but Maoists are not only fierce. Biplav is also Maoist. Mohan Vaidya is also a Maoist and Top Bahadur Rayamajhi is also a Maoist."

He said that he was confident that his party would be revived as the Supreme Court had reinstated the UML MPs in Karnali.

Lekhraj Bhatt, Top Bahadur Rayamajhi, Gauri Shankar Chaudhary, and Prabhu Sah, who are also former ministers, have filed a writ petition at the Supreme Court alleging that the Maoist center has illegally removed them from the parliamentary seat. The writ petition is scheduled for Thursday, the apex court said.
