July 15, Kathmandu.

CPN-UML has decided not to give a vote of confidence to the government led by Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba. It has also approved the 10-point agreement and decided to implement it and dissolve the task force.

A meeting of the Standing Committee was held at the Tulsilal Memorial Foundation in Chazal in the presence of Chairman KP Sharma Oli's party leaders only. While the meeting was going on, the task force members of Madhav Kumar Nepal's side reached and requested to stop the meeting and move ahead as per the 10-point agreement.

But after Chairman Oli said, "The meeting will continue, move the agenda forward," the leaders of the Nepali side have left. The standing committee meeting, which was attended only by Oli's party leaders, decided not to support the formation of the government in a democratic and unhealthy manner. After the meeting, spokesperson Pradip Gyawali said, "It has been decided that the party will not support the government formed in a democratic and unhealthy manner and will not give a vote of confidence. It has decided to instruct the members of the House of Representatives to abide by this decision."

The sixth point of the 10-point agreement reached by the task force comprising second-tier leaders of both the parties on July 12 states, "We will proceed according to the lawful and institutional decision based on the spirit and spirit of party unity regarding the issue pending in the Supreme Court and the government."

On July 12, the Supreme Court re-established the parliament and ordered the appointment of Sher Bahadur Deuba, who had garnered the support of 149 lawmakers, as the prime minister.

After the verdict, both sides of the UML have moved forward in their own way instead of implementing the agreement. Chairman Oli has declared Leader Nepal a traitor while Leader Nepal has promised to give a vote of confidence to Prime Minister Deuba.

The second-tier leaders had also taken the initiative saying that they should move forward as per the 10-point agreement. But President Oli has decided not to give a vote of confidence to the prime minister at a standing committee meeting attended only by leaders of his party.

Spokesperson Gyawali said in response to a question from the media that some Nepali parliamentarians have said that they will cast a vote of confidence. At present, the directive of our standing committee is for everyone to stand in opposition to this government.

He said earlier, "If you want some friends to stand on the side, the Supreme Court has opened the door so that no action can be taken." They will do that. We are in opposition, we are in opposition. '

We cannot wait for eternity

Asked if Madhav Nepal's side needed time to stop the meeting, spokesperson Gyawali said he could not wait indefinitely.

Saying that the meeting convened on July 11 was postponed after Vice-Chairman Bhim Rawal said, "We will all come tomorrow," he said, It has been decided to implement the recommendations of the task force. Our discussions will continue in the process of implementing it. But the party continues to make its own decisions. '
