Two persons have been arrested from Siddharthnagar-1 bypass of Rupandehi along with undisclosed money. A team from the Area Police Office, Velahiya arrested two persons, including an Indian, from Velahiya Bypass at around 2.45 pm on Tuesday with Rs 3.19 million, said Satyanarayan Thapa, Deputy Superintendent of Police.
Vinay Kalwar, 21, of Siddharthnagar-1 and Suraj Gaun, 35, of Nautanwa, Uttar Pradesh, India were arrested with the money, police said.
It is suspected that the amount was received from the bag they were carrying while checking the Scooty. The undisclosed amount, the arrested person and the Scooty were sent to the Revenue Investigation Office, Butwal on Tuesday for necessary action, the office said.
