The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested three people on charges of fraudulently sending them to the United States on working visas.
Among the arrested are Binod Bhusal, 24, of Hariharpur, Kapilvastu, Banganga Municipality-4, Purkar Gurung, 31, of Miruwa, Pokhara Metropolitan City-2 and Prakash Gurung, 30, of Pokhara Metropolitan City-12.
Police claim that they have repeatedly collected Rs 7.4 million from the victim over the past two years. The arrested have been handed over to the District Police Office, Kaski for action, said Superintendent of Police (SP) Shyam Kumar Mahato.
According to SP Mahat, the District Police Office, Dang, had taken action in the case of cheating the victims by forging documents of the US Embassy in Kathmandu and swindling Rs 2.5 million to release a person detained in the United States.
