Lamjung: The attraction of entrepreneurs in domestic and small-scale industries is increasing in Lamjung. Entrepreneurs here have taken the lead in commercializing traditional agriculture and enterprise.

The number of small and cottage industries in the district has reached 4,748 so far, said Toplal Bhushal, head of the Small and Household Industries Development Committee, Lamjung. According to him, 969 domestic and small-scale industries have been registered in the fiscal year 2077/78 BS. Similarly, 26 domestic industries and 44 commercial industries were scrapped in the same fiscal year.

He said that the industries registered in the office include agriculture firm, sewing-cutting, weaving-grinding, agricultural tools, bakery industry, beekeeping, and other industries. Especially in Besishahar, Sunder Bazaar, Bhoteodar, Bhorletar, and Khudi, Lamjung's main commercial and market areas, businesses, and shops have come into operation, according to the office.

With the increase in the number of domestic and small-scale industries in the district every year, investment is also increasing. So far, around Rs 4 billion has been invested in various industries in the district, according to the Home and Small Industries Office, Lamjung.
