The emphasis on private and public transport in the Kathmandu Valley has been removed.


The Chief District Officer of Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Lalitpur districts has issued a restraining order with effect from July 6.


Public transport will not be allowed to carry more passengers than the seat capacity and masks have been made mandatory for passengers. Drivers and co-drivers must wear masks as well as visors and gloves, and sanitisers at the door. Vehicles will have to be disinfected every day.


Similarly, in the case of clean tempo and blue microbus, 4/4 passengers will be available in horizontal seats and one passenger will be available on the driver's side. But in the middle of the vehicle, a standard barrier has been set to separate the passengers on both sides.


The local administration, which has imposed a ban from April 29, had allowed only private vehicles from 21 June and Public buses with more than 25 seats to run from 29 June.


The shop will be open from morning

The opening time of shops in the Kathmandu Valley has also been extended. Now all the shops will be open till 6 pm. But while conducting business, a physical distance of two meters, sanitiser and health standards will have to be followed.


Earlier, shops other than milk, fruits and food were allowed to be open only from 11 am to 6 pm. Medicine and health care stores will be available at any time.


Which is still prohibited

According to the local administration, assembly halls, cinema halls, party palaces, rehearsals, dance halls, clubs, entertainment venues, beauty parlours, futsal, gymnasiums, libraries, zoos, stadiums, spectator sports and crowded events will not be allowed.


Panirok has been imposed for gathering in open space, holding processions, festivals, processions and banquets. Wedding ceremonies and mass cultural activities will not be allowed in hotels and party palaces.

Similarly, the local administration has banned religious and cultural activities other than daily worship, reading in physical presence in educational institutions and local transportation from 9 am to 11 am and 4 pm to 7 pm.
