The District Police Office, Rupendehi has launched an integrated citizen service center with a digital system. The service center with a token system based on digital technology has been brought into operation for the convenience of the service recipients coming to the office.
On Sunday, Lumbini Police Chief Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Mukunda Acharya launched the system by handing over the first token to the service recipient. The service has been launched from Rupendehi for the first time in Nepal among the District Police Offices to expedite the work of the service recipients.
DIG Acharya said that it has been taken as a 'citizen-friendly police campaign' with technological service as the work will be done according to the method after reaching the police office with any work. "The system has been developed to work at a faster pace so that the general public does not have to worry about complaints being heard and the general public does not know where to go for what work." "It's probably the first exercise here," he said.
Rupandehi Police Chief SP Manoj KC said that the citizen service center has been made computer friendly. He said that the technicians of the service center would enter the application in the computer after mentioning their work and gap in the citizen service center at the gate before bringing any citizen problem.
"After the technician of the service center enters the application in the computer, he will reach the relevant field, so the work will be easier and the work of the one who comes first will be ahead," he said. They are even given tokens. ' He said, "Coming back, I have access, it does not mean that the work will be done quickly, it will be done according to the token system."
The service has been started from the Police Wit (Check Point) at the Area Police Office Belahiya under the District Police Office at Belahiya Bypass
