The body of Sujata Bhandari, who has been missing for nine days, has been found in Chitwan. Though the body was found on Sunday afternoon, the family identified it in the evening, Chitwan Police Chief SP Om Prasad Adhikari told.

A complaint was lodged with the police alleging that Bhandari had been abducted. The last time Bhandari called her, she told her that she had been abducted by a group of three.

A team of the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of Nepal Police was also deployed to investigate the incident.

During the technical analysis, the police suspected that she might not have been abducted as her location was found in a different place than what she said. After his disappearance, no one contacted him with any return or any other demand.

Police analyzed the call detail record (CDR), SMS, messenger, and other Bhandari's mobile phone contents, but no clue was found. Until a few months ago, there was contact with a young man, but no connection was found recently.

But after his body was found on Sunday, the incident has taken a new turn. According to SP Adhikari of Chitwan, the body has been kept at the spot. "We have sealed off the scene now. We will bring in trained dogs and forensic doctors tomorrow to further investigate," he said.

According to the police, the body appeared to have been washed away by water for a long time.
