Chitwan. After the disappearance of Sujita Bhandari of Chitwan, the police launched an investigation and found no evidence that she had been abducted. Bhandari called the family and told them that she had been abducted, but the investigation indicated the exact opposite.
When he was abducted, he was seen using 'data' on his mobile phone for a long time and sent a message saying that he had gone 'eastwards'.
The incident came to light nine days later when the police, who were searching for Bhandari on suspicion of abduction, were shocked. The incident took a mysterious turn when Bhandari's body was found in the Brahmayani Community Forest on July 8.
Locals protested demanding the release of Bhandari. However, there were indications of suicide as a bottle of poison was found near the body.
At a press conference on Friday, almost a month later, the police claimed that the case of Bhandari's death was over. SP Om Adhikari of Chitwan said that Sujita committed suicide after her love affair failed.
The family has also filed a complaint against the boyfriend for supporting the police investigation. Bhandari's uncle's son has been arrested after his family lodged a complaint against Sukdev Bhandari alias Sachin of Jhapa Saranamati.
Sujita had returned to Kathmandu after living together
Sukdev, who is studying BBS in Kathmandu, has a younger cousin, Sujita. According to the police, Sujita's father Yagya Bahadur Bhandari had moved to Chitwan and Sukdev's father had moved to Jhapa.
After the brothers moved away, their meeting was cut short. But in recent years, the relationship between the two became closer through Facebook, meanwhile, love fell through social media.
According to the police, she had gone to Kathmandu saying that she would stay with her sister while she was free. Sukdev was also studying in Kathmandu. After that, she stayed with Sukdev instead of with her sister.
Even Sukdev in love did not refuse to live together. According to Chitwan DSP Surya Thapa, Sujita told him to look for a separate room. But after the lockdown, Sujita returned to Chitwan.
Meanwhile, she also proposed marriage to Sukdev. Then Sukdev was shocked. He tried to back down saying that there would be family quarrels and social problems.
Then came the rift between the two. According to DSP Thapa, they have already discussed various options on how to turn a love affair into a marriage.
According to the police, the youth has made a plan to go abroad, flee or disappear under the pretext of abduction.
According to DSP Thapa, Sujita had even said that she would die if she refused to get married. Meanwhile, on 9 June, they had a quarrel over marriage. Sukde said, "Do whatever you want." According to the police, he may have gone to the nearby community forest and consumed poison after that.
