Police are investigating fake accounts and spreading confusion in the name of Prime Minister Deuba on Facebook and Twitter

Kathmandu. It has been found that fake messages have been spread in the name of Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba through Facebook and Twitter. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has started an investigation after a fake account was opened in Deuba's name after he was appointed as the Prime Minister.

Badri Tiwari, secretary to the cabinet and the prime minister's office, said a letter had been sent to the CBI, adding that an investigation was underway.

Lately, there has been a growing tendency to create confusion by creating fake accounts in the name of people holding public office, artists, or social personalities. The police office receives complaints related to social media every day.

Police have requested to identify the original or verified Facebook page and Twitter account for accurate information.
