Opposing the increase in fuel prices by blowing conch shells

Students' organizations of the parties in the opposition alliance have protested against the increase in the price of petroleum products by blowing conch shells on Sunday.

On Sunday, student leaders and activists gathered at Maitighar and protested by blowing conch shells. Nepal Students Union, Akhil Krantikari, ANNI SU near Madhav Kumar Nepal, Socialist Students Union near Upendra Yadav of Jaspa, and Akhil Chaithau of Rashtriya Janamorcha have jointly protested.

Student organizations have announced a phased agitation against the price hike. They have a program of not allowing the vehicles of the Nepal Oil Corporation to run on July 12, not allowing the organizations transporting and selling petroleum to operate petrol pumps and tankers on July 12, and closing all petrol pumps and tankers across the country on July 12.

Five student organizations have been protesting demanding the restoration of the dissolved parliament, problems in the SEE and Class 12 examinations, and problems at the BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences.
