Kathmandu. The meeting of the ruling coalition is being held in Baluwatar. A meeting has been held to consult with the ruling coalition on the expansion of the Council of Ministers.

Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has held discussions with CPN (Maoist Center) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal, Janata Samajwadi Party, Nepal Chairman Upendra Yadav, Rashtriya Janamorcha Chairman Chitra Bahadur KC, and UML leader Madhav Kumar Nepal.

According to the PM's private secretariat, the talks focused on cabinet expansion, current political developments, and running the government.

The cabinet has not been expanded even after more than a week of government formation and a vote of confidence by the prime minister. UCPN (Maoist) Central Committee Chairman Prachanda had met Prime Minister Deuba and CPN-UML leader Nepal on Saturday morning.

Prime Minister Deuba had sworn in four ministers along with him. Among them are two from the Nepali Congress and two from the Maoist Center. No ministers have been appointed from other parties. The Rashtriya Janamorcha, which supports the government, has said it will not participate in the government.
