Jaspa Dispute: The Commission is calling the executive member and identifying him

Kathmandu. The Election Commission is calling the members of the Central Executive Committee to identify the Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP).

The commission is going to identify the executive members of Upendra Yadav and Mahanta Thakur's party by calling them at 11 am on Monday.

As the majority of the members of the executive committee are in favor of Upendra Yadav, it seems certain that Yadav will get the official status.

The party, which was registered with the Election Commission on July 8, 2009, has been in dispute with the two parties, Mahanta Thakur and Upendra Yadav.

The commission has formed a five-member bench headed by Chief Election Commissioner Dinesh Kumar Thapaliya to resolve the JSP's official dispute. The bench had ordered the central executive member to appear before the commission at 11 a.m. on July 26, saying that he had to identify himself in person.

Thakur had filed a writ petition against the Election Commission and another chairman Yadav in the Supreme Court on July 25.

The apex court has refused to issue an interim order in the writ petition. The Supreme Court had on Sunday ordered to call both the parties for discussion on July 30.
