Jaspa Central Committee meeting to approve the constitution of the parliamentary party

Kathmandu: A meeting of the Central Executive Committee of the Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) Upendra Yadav has started at the party office in Balkumari on Saturday.

The meeting will decide on the approval of the constitution of the parliamentary party, the formation of a committee for the election of the parliamentary party, the schedule of party training, and other issues.

Apart from this, the ongoing official dispute in the Election Commission and the case filed by Mahanta Thakur in the Supreme Court will also be discussed in the meeting.

With the formation of the new government, the official dispute between Upendra Yadav and Mahanta Thakur's group has been escalating. The Election Commission has ordered the 51-member Central Executive Committee to be present on July 25 to resolve the dispute. However, Thakur has filed a writ petition against the order.

The Thakur faction had supported the government led by the outgoing Prime Minister and CPN-UML Chairman KP Oli, while the Yadav faction had supported the Sher Bahadur Deuba-led government.
