Kathmandu. Two hydropower companies have issued initial IPOs for project-affected locals. Tehrathum Power Company Limited and Madhya Bhotekoshi Hydropower Company Limited have issued IPOs from today.
Tehrathum Power Company Limited has issued 4 lakh shares with a face value of Rs 100 per share for the residents of the Tehrathum district. Investors will be able to apply for a minimum of 10 lots and a maximum of 60,000 lots in the IPO. Applications for the IPO can be submitted till July 30.
NIBL S Capital Limited has been appointed as the manager of the share issue and sale of the company. Locals can apply for the IPO from Machhapuchhre Bank Dhankuta Branch, Nepal Bangladesh Bank's Sankranti, Phedap, Chhathar, Sidhuwa, Sangurigadhi and Rajarani Branch Offices, Global IME Bank's Jiri Khimti Branch, Manglung, Tehrathum, and Hydropower Project site in Menchyaye.
Similarly, the sale of 6 million IPO projects of Madhya Bhotekoshi Hydropower Company Limited, which was postponed due to the Corona epidemic, has been re-opened for the locals affected from today.
Out of which, permanent residents of Bhotekoshi Village Municipality Ward No. 1 and 5, Barhabise Municipality Ward No. 5 and 6, and Barhabise Municipality Ward No. 7 and 8 of Sindhupalchowk will be able to apply for 1.8 million IPO lots. Similarly, locals across the Sindhupalchowk district will be able to apply for the remaining 4.2 million shares.
