In many countries, the Internet has gone down, many websites and apps have not opened

Kathmandu. On Thursday, the Internet suddenly stopped working in many countries around the world. Due to which many websites and mobile apps were not running. A DNS error was shown when opening these websites. This means that people did not reach the command website.

Websites with problems include Amazon, Paytm, Disney, Hotstar, Airbnb, UPS, HSBC Bank, British Airways, and PlayStation Network. This problem is caused by a glitch in the DNS service of the DNS service provider Akamai.

DNS stands for Domain Main System. This is an internet phonebook. This domain name connects to a computer's IP address so you can visit any website.

Akamai has informed that the technical problem has been solved through the social network Twitter. This is the second major disruption in internet service in the last two months.
