Kathmandu. Saun means the month of devotion. It is customary to purify the body and fast. Women in particular fast to wish their husbands longevity and good health. What is the matter with the married only, for the sake of the husband who is going to be unmarried, they stay in the brat, worship, and go to the temple.

But do men chant in the same way, wishing their wives a long and happy life? It is more a matter of emotion than a question of gender equality.

Let's talk about actor Deepak Raj Giri. He fasts on five Mondays in July. They worship. "It brings more self-purification and contentment than any divine benefit," says Deepak Raj.

Actor Dilip Rayamajhi also practiced brat for the sake of his wife in Saun. However, he could not control his senses. I saw food, I was greedy, I was hungry. He broke his fast and ate to his heart's content. "I feel like women have made great sacrifices," says actor Dilip Rayamajhi. "We lack such sacrifices and patience." At times, he even tried too fast.

Not only Duleep and Deepak Raj, but also the experiences of top actors from Dayahang Rai to Anmol KC are shared here.

I worship but do not stay in the brat: Vipin Karki

I am a believer. I am not a person who attends regular worship and continues to do so. Nor am I a person who does not wash the temple as an atheist. I go to the temple regularly. I do not worship idols in the temple. But only when I walk around the temple do I feel different.

When I talk about fasting and rituals, I do not observe such fasts except for the worship at home. But I believe that we should promote our existing culture.

There may be some conservative traditions. For example, when a wife fasts, her husband's age increases. But from a scientific point of view, fasting is better for oneself than for one's husband. So I don't call people who fast from time to time bad. I am a believer but not a blind devotee. Therefore, it does not mean that everything is completed just by fasting for God.

I have respect for the brat: Dayahang Rai

I am neutral. I have not fasted yet and I do not believe that fasting will increase one's life. But I have full respect for people who fast.

It is normal to go to a monastery. I am not a fanatical atheist who does not go to temples as an atheist and does not believe in religion. He is not a believer who spends a lot of time in recitation with a full arrangement.

From a religious point of view, I don't think I have to fast and I don't think anyone should fast. People are free to do whatever they want. So if someone has faith in something, we don't comment on their faith and belief. But in my opinion, fasting does not bring good results. If a person fasts in the name of his husband or wife, his body benefits. What will we do if we find satisfaction in his heart?

In terms of food too, I eat both satvik and majestic food. Overall, it's like I digested what came.

I only observe five Mondays: Deepak Raj Giri

I am a completely devout person. My family is a complete believer. I also fast regularly. The 5 Mondays of July and the 9 days of Dashain are never missed. I eat only pure food on every Ekadashi.

When it comes to visiting temples, I have to visit many temples. Especially I visit the temples of Mahadev and Krishna more. I keep going to temples like Pashupati and ISKCON. I enjoy going to the temple. But I don't know the temple if I ask for 500,000 by offering five rupees.

I have a slightly different opinion on the issue of fasting. I am fasting. But I do not believe that fasting will prolong the life of one's spouse or that another will get a better husband. If the age of the husband or wife increases when we fast, then Hindu husbands will have to live longer. If fasting would be a very good husband, my wife was fasting to get a husband like Mahadev, I fell like Hanuman. The example is within us. So fasting does not mean that everything happens.

I regularly visit temples: Anmol KC

I am also a complete believer. My diary starts with worship. Only after chanting Krishna Mantra do I move on to other activities.

I am also a regular temple attendant. Pashupati temple is closed now due to Corona, but I will come back after visiting - Dilip Rayamajhi

I regularly visit temples. Being a devotee of Krishna, I keep going to Krishna temples. Along with that, I keep going to temples including Budhanilkantha. I keep coming to the temple I met whenever I go somewhere for business.

I fast on the main Ekadashis. But at other times I live on normal fruit. I am a complete vegetarian in food. I also stay on Mondays in July, but not to get a good wife.

I couldn't eat while sitting in the brat: Dilip Rayamajhi

Dilip Rayamajhi There are various stories about the romantic actor of the Nepali movies Dilip Rayamajhi. He is a devout artist in the Nepali film industry. This is how they describe their faith and beliefs.

'I am a completely devout person. I also eat vegetarian food with the intention of not killing anyone. I am a vegetarian by birth. I don't think I have to eat garlic or onion as much as possible. I cannot fast because of my personal nature. Once I tried to fast, but I couldn't eat. But I believe in fasting.

I am also a regular temple attendant. Now the Pashupati temple is closed due to Corona, but I will go out and visit it. Going to the temple and worshiping God is very important to me.

It is July. Many sisters also fast for their husbands. But my understanding is that fasting does not change the life of others, but it also benefits the body of the fasting person by continuing our long-running rituals. Who asks God with an open heart. It is my belief that his wish will be fulfilled.
