Police have arrested four members of his family, including his mother, on charges of killing an infant in Rangeli, Morang.
Four people, including the baby's mother and father, have been arrested on charges of killing her newborn daughter and burying her inside the shop on Monday night.
The 25-year-old Khushbu Mandal of Morang's Rangeli Municipality-5 gave birth to a baby girl at home on Monday night.
DSP Deepak Shrestha of the District Police Office Morang informed that the body of the infant was found buried inside the liquor shop run by Khushbu's father and mother. Khushbu's house and liquor store are about 500 meters away.
Police claim that the husband and parents were involved in hiding the incident. The Area Police Office Rangeli has arrested Khushbu, her husband Arun Mandal, Khushbu's father Nageshwar Mandal, and mother Urmila Mandal.
He said that the investigation has been started by extending the term of the four arrested persons.
According to police, Khushbu's husband was in Malaysia for foreign employment and had recently returned home.
