Police have arrested five people with various weapons in the district. Kapilvastu police have arrested one person from 11 Jahadi Municipalities and four people from Banganga Municipality-8 Mormi with weapons. The arrested are Mateshwor Prasad Yadav, 36, of Jahdi in Kapilvastu Municipality-11 and Tikaram Thapa, 51, Gum Bahadur Rana, 25, Min Bahadur Sen, 47, and Gopal Thapa, 41.
During a special check of Toulihawa Jitpur Road at Jahdi Chowk of Kapilvastu Municipality-11, a police team stopped a motorcycle (UP 55 W 8324) with an Indian number plate from east to west. Deputy Superintendent Dharmaraj Bhandari informed.
From Gopal Thapa Magar's house, 1 barrel loaded gun with iron, 1 and Tika Bahadur Thapa's house, 1 loaded barrel gun-2 and 2 barrels of ammunition, 294 grams of ammunition, and 60 rounds of shrapnel, used to kill wild animals with iron rope. According to Kapilvastu Deputy Superintendent of Police Bhandari, the traps were also found and a gun made of iron was found in the house of Gun Bahadur Rana.
