Civil engineers arrested for besieging Singha Durbar demanding reform of BP Pratisthan

Dharan-based BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences has been taken under control by the police.

Police are arranged by the civil society leaders who are performing in irregularities in BP institutions. Civil society leaders Yug Pathak, Naresh Gyawali, Chham Gurung, and BP Pratisthan Kumbharaj Joshi and Prashant students were arrested by the police on Sunday afternoon.

Doctors, professors, staff, students, and civil society have been agitating for four years demanding reform of the BP academy. The agitating party has asked the Vice-Chancellor of the Foundation, Dr. Four office bearers including Gyanendra Giri have made the exit the bottom line.

The ongoing agitation has reached Kathmandu as no interest has been shown for a way out of the talks. Civil society has been protesting demanding institutional reform.
