Bishnu Agrawal was elected president of the Confederation of Industries


Kathmandu. Bishnukumar Agrawal has been elected as the president of the Confederation of Nepalese Industries. Agrawal has been elected the president of the confederation from the 18th annual general assembly of the confederation. Agrawal was earlier the senior vice president of the confederation.

He has previously led the Young Entrepreneur Forum under the Confederation. He also has the experience of working as the chairman of the confederation's infrastructure development committee. Agarwal, who is also a former football player, is also the promoter of Nepal Super League winner Kathmandu Razors Football Club.

Agarwal, Honorary Consul General of the Czech Republic to Nepal, is the Managing Director of MAW Group of Companies.

The general assembly of the confederation has selected 37 members of the National Council. Out of them, 7 vice presidents will be elected.

Amit Mor, Ratanlal Kedia, Rahul Kumar Agrawal, Sandeep Kumar Sharda, Varun Kumar Todi, Shulabh Agrawal, Amit Begani, Vikas Dugad, Rajesh Kumar Agrawal, Chandra Tandon, Anuj Agrawal, Arpit Agrawal, Deepak Agrawal, Suraj Bhakt Poudel, Nirvana Kumar from the founding group in the National Council. Chaudhary, Bikram Singhania, Dilip Agrawal, Sharad Kumar Tibdewala, Rohit Gupta, and Aditya Shanghai have been selected.

Similarly, Hemraj Dhakal, Nicholas Pandey, Virendra Raj Pandey, Varsha Shrestha, Laxmi Prasad Subedi, Guruprasad Neupane, Rajiv Kumar Gupta, Raj Bahadur Shah, Pampha Dhamla, Ashish Garg, Dwiraj Sharma (Siwakoti), Ashok Sherchan, Tara Prasad Poudyal, and Hitesh Golchha were selected from the foundation. Inauguration of Union of Asian Chambers

Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba inaugurated the Union of ASEAN Chambers at the General Assembly of the Confederation. The Union of ASEAN Chambers has been launched to create a common platform for chambers of Asian countries.

The Union of ASEAN Chambers is currently led by Nirvana Chaudhary, Vice President of the Confederation. Speaking on the occasion, Chaudhary said that the objective was to facilitate trade in Asian countries, contribute to regional economic development and make Asia the economic hub of the 21st century.
