Akamai's system went down in the middle of the night

Kathmandu. World-renowned websites and online services have been shut down due to a problem with Internet infrastructure company Akamai's system. When Akamai's system went down, streaming services and online stores from the gaming site ran into problems for more than an hour.

Under this, popular websites like Ham Depot, Delta, Play Station Network, Steam, Fidelity Investment, Air BNB, FedEx, Lastpass, UPS, Amazon, and others have gone down globally, according to DownDector.

These websites were reportedly down due to a sudden problem with Akamai's Domain Nan Service (DNS). Akamai said that the issues seen in the DNS have been fixed and all the websites and online services are running smoothly.

He also assured everyone that the incident was not the result of a cyber attack.

Many of the world's largest websites went down last month after a problem with US cloud computing service provider Fastley's system.
