Chitwan. The identity of the person who was found dead after being shot has been revealed. The youth was found dead in the canal of Simdanda farm near Mansingh Chowk of Bharatpur Metropolitan City Ward No. 17 this morning.
The deceased has been identified as Bharat Gurung, 36, of Mahendra Dal Gana National Park, Tokha, Nilkantha Municipality, Dhading, according to the District Police Office, Chitwan.
According to the spokesperson of the office, Deputy Superintendent of Police Surya Bahadur Thapa, injuries have been found in his right ear and the upper part of his second ear. According to him, a bullet casing was also found at the spot.
The body has been brought to Bharatpur Hospital for postmortem. He said that an investigation has been started into the incident.
