A fire broke out in a house in Rapti, Chitwan,


A fire broke out at a house in Chowkidanda, Ward No. 5 of Rapti Municipality in East Chitwan on Monday. The fire broke out at the house of local brother Jha. A local said that the fire started at 2 pm but the house was completely damaged but no other human casualties were reported.

The fire victim's brother Jha said that they could not save the goods even after moving them to a safe place as it was nighttime and all the goods were destroyed by fire.

He said that all the necessary documents inside the house, Rs. 25,000 kept inside the house after earning from work and clothes and food items were destroyed by fire.

Despite the efforts of the fire brigade, police, and locals to control the fire, the fire has completely damaged the goods. According to the Area Police Office, Bhandara, the fire may have started due to an electrical short.

An electrician by profession, Jha had been living in the same family with his siblings.
